HELPFUL MARKING TIPS SERIES: High Contrast Marking on Stainless Steel using Chemical Etching

High Contrast Marking on Stainless Steel using Chemical Etching

One of the most common materials to Electro-Chemically Etch is Stainless Steels. It’s used for so many products from Medial Appliances and Food Preparation Equipment to Pressure Vessels and Nuclear Hardware etc.
One of the things we are asked for most often is how to create a high contrast BLACK permanent image on Stainless. Well for a very long time it’s been quite easy to get a good high contrast marking on Stainless steel and there are many Electrolytic Solutions that can help you obtain these results. However, Millennium Signatures X4R-428 Electrolyte Solution is unique in this area. Unlike the brown coloured markings, you tend to get with other formulations, our X4R-428 Electrolyte delivers a Black result that has definitely impressed those who have long been searching for a better result in this area. This Electrolyte can be used with any of our Power Units or Electro-Chemical Marking Kits.
